I've met T. Moore multiple times, talked to him in person and via email, and have thought of him for a while now as a mere awesome mortal rather than the superhero of my youth. Plus the guy knows and has talked about pretty much everyone in the world, so it's not exactly a unique thing to hear him say your name. But I'm still blown away that he began an answer to an New York Times interview question with mine. Somewhere the 1980's college-radio DJ version of me is pissing his acid-wash jeans...

Jeff Krulik interviews Larry David (I guess it should be no surprise that he acts exactly like his Curb persona in real life, but this is almost eerie - the spelling the cameraman's name thing seems like something he would script for the show):

Christopher Hitchens can be wrong a lot, but man, does he rule in this segment (watch the whole thing - it's especially hilarious at the end)...

does anyone know of a good photo posting site where you can make the photos private, but give specific people the ability to look at them by entering a password or something, rather than having to sign up for their own account? maybe I'm reading it wrong, but I think on Flickr if you want only specific people to be able to see a photo, those people also have to have flickr accounts.
basically I want to post some photos for a few people to look at and help me identify people in them, but the photos are copyrighted and I can't just throw them up there with unlimited public access. and I asking the people to sign up for Flickr to is both silly and unwarranted.

For anyone who has seen Mutual Appreciation and/or is a rabid televised Poker fan (I think I'm the only person who can claim both), is it just me, or is the main actor from the movie (who's also in Bishop Allen) also in this Full Tilt Poker Ad playing heads up w/Chris Ferguson? If so, I could reasonably be the only human on earth who has noticed...(for reference, here are stills of the actor from the film itself...)
Mutual Appreciation is a pretty good movie, by the way, if you're into Cassavetes-esque lo-fi dramas about Brooklyn indie rockers.

if you're thinking about going to the screening today that i posted about on Thursday, unfortunately it's sold out (a 400-seat theater, kinda insane)...but a second screening is gonna be added next Sunday the 26th, at the same time, 4:30...
or you can always ask me to show the film to you.
